How Nonprofits Can Benefit From Periscope And Meerkat

When I first heard about Meerkat, I immediately thought of Timón, you know, that character from The Lion King. Then came Periscope, which triggered the voice of Sean Connery from The Hunt For Red October in my head. But in reality, the only thing Meerkat and Periscope have in common with either movie is video, streaming video in this case. If you are on Twitter, it’s nearly impossible that you have not heard of either streaming video service. I get dozens of notifications a day from people and brands using one or the other (or both) apps to stream live content to their followers. Of course, I started to immediately brainstorm about how nonprofits can benefit from services like Meerkat and Periscope.
